1. Introduction

Kalimatullah Quran ("the App", "we", "our") is an Android application that provides the Arabic Quran with translations in 28 languages, on-demand Quran meaning audio in 11 languages, AI-powered spiritual reflections, daily duas and adhkar, and prayer times. This Privacy Policy describes the behavior verified in the V1 client.

By using Kalimatullah Quran, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Account and Client Data

Kalimatullah Quran does not require an account. The V1 client does not attach an email address, phone number, or account identifier to its AI requests.

• No account is required. Core features can be used without registration.
• The V1 client stores preferences and feature data locally on the device as described below.
• When you use Reflector, the message text and current conversation context are sent to the configured backend service as described in section 4.2.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device by the V1 client:

• Your language preference and selected UI locale
• Your chosen city or coordinates for prayer time calculation
• Your prayer calculation method and settings
• Your daily AI message count (to enforce free-tier limits)
• Your bookmarked and favorite Quran verses
• Your last reading position in the Quran reader
• Cached audio files you have downloaded for offline listening

You can remove locally stored data by clearing the app's storage through your Android device settings.

4. Third-Party Services

4.1 Advertising and Billing

The V1 client does not include active Google AdMob advertising or Google Play Billing. Premium subscriptions are not available in this release.

4.2 AI Chat (Cloudflare Worker)

The Reflector feature sends a JSON request over HTTPS to the configured Cloudflare Worker. The request contains the conversation messages held for the current session (including your message text) and the selected app language code.

Key points about AI chat:

• The V1 client does not attach an account identifier, email address, or phone number to the request.
• The client source alone does not establish a backend retention policy. The Worker operator and any downstream AI provider must publish and maintain their own applicable retention and processing terms.
• Do not include sensitive personal information in Reflector messages.

4.3 Audio Content Delivery (Cloudflare R2)

Audio recitations, reflections, and dua/adhkar meanings are delivered from Cloudflare R2 object storage. When you play or download audio:

• A standard HTTPS request is made to our R2 public bucket
• The request includes only the file path (which identifies the audio track) and standard HTTP headers (including IP address, processed by Cloudflare for content delivery)

4.4 Quran Translation Data

The 28 V1 Quran translations are bundled with the app. The V1 Quran reader does not make a network request to retrieve their text.

5. Prayer Times & Location

Prayer time calculation is performed entirely on your device using the adhan library. If you choose to set your city or coordinates for accurate prayer times, this data stays on your device and is never sent to any server. We do not track your location.

6. Children's Privacy

Kalimatullah Quran is a general-audience app for all ages. It does not contain harmful content and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. Data Security

All network communications between the app and our backend services use HTTPS encryption. Locally stored data is protected by Android's application sandbox. We implement reasonable security measures, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under data protection laws (such as GDPR in Europe or CCPA in California). You can:

• clear local app data through your Android device settings;
• contact us at the email below about the V1 client; and
• contact the applicable Worker or AI service operator about backend processing or retention.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you within the app. Continued use of Kalimatullah Quran after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
